In week 5, me and my classmates went on study tour with Ms Melina to central market places, fabric shops and national textile museum. The weather was really hot and it's tiring to walk around from place to place under the sun but I really enjoyed spending with my friends and learning new knowledge about traditional clothing, textiles, jewelry and culture. Ms Melina also took us to fabric shops where we can buy beautiful and high quality fabrics for cheaper prices. I'm really thankful to Ms Melina for taking her time to show us around and making our day wonderful. Within week 5, I also finished and submitted the assignment task 1 which is drafting and making pattern blocks.

Introduction to Pattern Drafting & Garment Making Portfolio (Week 13, 14)

  Week 13  I n week 13, I continued to finishing the skirt and the top of look 1. I added a few more details to the skirt such as metal gold zipper and belt loops. For the top I deconstructed the white shirt and cropped the top and added a few more details according to my technical design. I spent a lot of time on adjusting and ensure every details for both the garments to stand out and then I tried on my models. Fortunately, I made the garments fitted to my model body size so it save me a lot of times with fitting.
